Bryce Canyon - Private Guide Hike + Picnic

We meet all hikers at the North Campground General Store, conveniently located within the park near Sunrise Point.
9:15AM Depart for Hiking Trail
1. Our first viewpoint of the breathtaking Bryce Canyon amphitheater! Sunrise Point is aptly named for its stunning views of the hoodoos illuminated by the morning sun. From this vantage point, we will explore the fascinating processes of canyon erosion, discussing how these natural formations have evolved over time and the driving forces behind this dynamic landscape.
2. Walking on the Edge: From Sunrise Point, we will embark on a scenic hike along the Rim Trail toward Sunset Point. As you may have guessed, this is the prime location to witness the breathtaking sunsets in Bryce Canyon. At Sunset Point, you'll not only be treated to stunning views of the colorful hoodoos but also a magnificent perspective of the Wall Street slot canyon, where the towering rock formations create a dramatic and awe-inspiring landscape.
3. Descent: At Sunset Point, we will descend into the canyon, choosing either the Two Bridges Trail or the Wall Street Trail, depending on your preference and trail availability. Each route offers spectacular views and an exciting switchback path leading down to the canyon floor. As we hike, we will delve into the various environmental factors that have contributed to the unique erosion patterns of Bryce Canyon, exploring how these natural processes shape the stunning landscape we see today.
4. (Optional) Peek-A-Boo Loop: For hikers seeking a longer and more strenuous adventure, the Peek-A-Boo Loop can be incorporated into our trek. This trail adds an additional 3 miles to our hike and rewards those who venture its path with breathtaking vistas and unique geological formations. It's a fantastic opportunity to experience more of Bryce Canyon's stunning landscapes.
5. The Queens Garden: After completing the connecting trail, we will intersect with the Queens Garden Trail. This trail features a delightful side detour that offers a closer look at the stunning rock formation known as Queen Victoria. This unique viewpoint provides a wonderful opportunity for photos and a deeper appreciation of the intricate natural sculptures that make Bryce Canyon so remarkable.
6. Ascent: After visiting Queen Victoria, we will begin our ascent out of the canyon. The trail is dotted with numerous arches and passages, providing incredible photo opportunities along the way. As we make our way back up, we will take breaks to catch our breath while discussing the fascinating geological formations surrounding us. We’ll also have the chance to observe some of the world's oldest tree varieties, which are visible near the trail, adding another layer of wonder to our hike.
7. Lunch: Charcuterie Board style picnic with Cured Meats (includes pork), cheeses, crackers, spreads, fruit, crackers, and nuts. Vegan, Vegetarian, and G/F available with 48hr notice.
